Meeting of Polish and Bangladesh Ambassadors in Uzbekistan

On the 4th of October 2021 the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Uzbekistan, Mr. Radoslaw Gruk, paid an unofficial visit to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

The Polish Ambassador met with Mr. Md. Zahangir Alam, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh. The two diplomats discussed the status of economic and political contacts between Poland and Bangladesh and the need to strengthen ties between the two countries. Moreover, the current cooperation between Poland and Uzbekistan, implementation of bilateral agreements and the issue of obtaining European Schengen visas to travel to Poland were discussed.

The Polish Ambassador expressed his desire to visit Bangaldesh in order to learn more about the country.

Md. Zahangir Alam has been Bangladesh’s ambassador to Uzbekistan since October 2020. His area of empowerment also includes Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Radoslav Gruk submitted his letters of credentials to the Uzbek president in August 2021. The outpost in Tashkent also serves Tajikistan.
