Bangladesh is buying Bayraktars

According to press reports, Bangladesh is closely observing the effectiveness of military equipment during the hostilities in Ukraine. These observations have most likely resulted in an agreement between the Bangladesh Army and the Turkish company Baykar Technology.

An element of this agreement is to be the purchase of Turkish MALE Bayraktar TB2 drones.

Earlier, Bangladesh had purchased Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles and guided artillery shells from the Turks.

According to experts, the Bayraktar TB2 drone not only detects targets on its own and helps guided munitions reach them, but can also carry armaments on its own. Its maximum speed is more than 220km/h and its operational radius is 150km. These machines have become extremely effective on the Ukrainian front.
