On 7 November 2019, representatives of the Polish-Bangladeshi Chamber of Commerce, Artur Gontarczyk and Jakub Bałtroszewicz met in the seat of the Institute of Middle and Far East of the Jagiellonian University with Prof. Agnieszka Kuczkiewicz-Fraś and Dr. Kamila Junik-Łuniewska, PhD.
The subject of the meeting was the possibility of establishing cooperation with the Centre for Bangladesh Studies “Bangabandhu”, which was established in January 2019 in the Institute of the Near and Far East at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University in cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
We hope that thanks to fruitful cooperation between the two institutions, actions will be initiated to deepen and popularize knowledge about Bangladesh, its history, society, languages and culture in Poland and Europe.
